I don't think so. Losing the Precision does suck but with our dampening is not that bad. Amarr Scout with two complex precision means they get to 17.85. Caldari Scout with two complex dampeners gets to 15.72, invisible to Amarr Scout trying their hardest. The only thing that can pick a Caldari Scout up that is using two dampeners, which is not our Primary Tanking doctrine slot, is a Prototype Focused Scanner used by a level 5 Gallente Logistics.

Because of the E-war change, it pushes our range out meaning that we are getting more area in the 100% and 110% Scan strength. It does suck losing the bonus to Precision but Caldari Scouts are not in a terrible situation from what I can tell. This way, the Amarr Scout suit looks more attractive than just being the "I run a little longer" guy while the Caldari still has a decent niche. We can see every non-scout from quite a distance and we can be invisible to most things while not hurting our Tank much.

I think Range is more useful than Nova Knife damage given that a shotgun is a better alpha strike weapon than a knife. But I do have to politely ask: what is the focus of this thread? It started as "the Minmatar shouldn't have a bonus to a Caldari weapon that the Caldari train with since pre-K" but now I wonder if you are just upset with the nerf to Precision. Would you be kind enough to specify?

Its hit box is fine, its the bloody crazy levels of shield stats that it has! Have you seen how fast it recharges, how fast the delay and depleted recharge is!

I have seen some Caldari scouts regen shields during a short window of missing a few shots or while I reload. Heck even my Caldari sentinel would like some of the Caldari scouts shields stats.

So we need to use not only anti shield weaponry, but the most OP of it all to kill a weaker class?
Sorry,but i don't recall needing to use a CR on Amarr scouts in order to mybe have a chance to kill it.
I don't EVER recall needing to use 5+ peoplr firing simultaneously to take down a lone Sentinel.

For duck's sake, even a Caldari Sentinel can be killed with a CR.

I don't know what they're doing up in space, but down here in the Dust I hear tell that Caldari folk prefer weapons and drop suit EWAR with greater range so they don't have to get too close to the action...
